Corporations are meeting the challenges of increasing globalization forces and the demands of customers, buyers, investors, employees and other stakeholders by implementing good corporate citizenship practices. Corporate citizenship, or corporate social responsibility (CSR), has become an increasingly important issue to many corporations, not only from the realization that failure to address key issues can negatively impact financial performance, but also from the understanding that adherence to strong CSR practices can create a competitive advantage for firms.
K.I.Asia builds capacity for corporations to implement Strategic Corporate Citizenship services. K.I.Asia acts as a bridge between the corporate sector, government, universities, non-profit organizations and community groups to support their implementation of mutually-beneficial corporate-community partnerships, which in turn advances sustainable competitiveness in Thailand and the region.
Kenan Institute Asia's strategic partners include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College, The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, and the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Since 1998, Kenan has served over 70 Thai and multinational corporations including Chevron, AIA, Siam Commercial Bank, Bayer, American Express, Dow Chemical, Microsoft, GE Money, MSD Thailand, Coca-Cola, Somboon Group, Siam City Cement and Nestle.
