On behalf of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Kenan Institute Asia (K.I.Asia) is managing the Global Development Alliance (GDA) grant for activities that aim to prevent and control avian and pandemic influenza in the Greater Mekong Subregion nations of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. These activities are designed and implemented by partnerships between private sector companies and non-private sector organizations. K.I.Asia has a proven record of facilitating partnerships between private sector companies with non-private sector organizations to promote sustainable development around the region. To foster corporate-community engagement, K.I.Asia has been implementing a Strategic Corporate Citizenship (SCC) Program to provide services to the private sector with the aim of helping companies and their partners implement meaningful programs.
